Fundación CajaSur concede 115 becas formativas a la Federación Andaluza de Baloncesto y Cruz Roja

Convenio Cruz Roja y FAB 2017Córdoba, 4 de enero 2017.- Ciento quince jóvenes de Córdoba, Cádiz, Sevilla y Málaga en situación de fragilidad social van a poder acceder, gracias al apoyo económico de la Fundación CajaSur, al proyecto denominado “Becas formativas Fundación CajaSur-FAB-Cruz Roja Española 2016” puesto en marcha por la FAB, Federación Andaluza de Baloncesto, y la reconocida institución humanitaria.

El citado programa pretende insertar laboralmente a jóvenes en situación de fragilidad social, participantes en el Plan Empleo de Cruz Roja, mediante la formación y práctica del baloncesto. Para ello, se ha acordado ofrecer 40 becas para realizar un curso de entrenador, 45 para árbitro y 30 de auxiliar de mesa.

El convenio de colaboración ha sido firmado, en la sede central de CajaSur, por el director de la Fundación CajaSur, Ángel Cañadilla, el vicepresidente autonómico de Cruz Roja, José Boyano, y el presidente de la Federación Andaluza de Baloncesto en Córdoba, Antonio De Torres.

El director de la Fundación CajaSur, Ángel Cañadilla, ha indicado que “desde la Fundación CajaSur estamos seguros que esta nueva iniciativa en el ámbito de lo social será muy provechosa para los 115 jóvenes en situación de fragilidad social seleccionados por la Cruz Roja de Córdoba, Cádiz, Málaga y Sevilla, ya que además de fomentar la práctica de un deporte, en este caso del baloncesto, e inculcar unos hábitos de vida saludables, favoreceremos la inserción laboral de estas personas”.

Por su parte, el presidente de la FAB, Antonio De Torres, ha manifestado “sentirse muy orgulloso de poder ayudar en su desarrollo personal a jóvenes en riesgo de exclusión social mediante este convenio y a través del baloncesto”. En este sentido, ha indicado que estos becados “son parte de la gran familia que es el baloncesto y se benefician de los valores que su práctica conlleva en todas sus vertientes, que son un pilar fundamental del Plan de Innovación Social que lleva a cabo la FAB”.

El vicepresidente autonómico de Cruz Roja, José Boyano, ha agradecido la colaboración de CajaSur y la FAB en “nuestra lucha diaria por la integración laboral de la juventud en esta situación”, al tiempo que destaca la importancia de que el deporte se convierta en “motor del cambio”.
